Learn more about our commitment to authentic Montessori education in Milton.
Silver Maple Montessori was born from a shared family passion for Montessori education. As siblings raised by a dedicated Montessori educator, we grew up with an appreciation for the Montessori philosophy, often hearing inspiring stories from our mother’s classrooms. With each of us choosing different paths, one thing remained constant—our love for Montessori and our commitment to its values.
After years of experience in various Montessori schools, our founder recognized a gap in the Milton community for high-quality Montessori education. In 2015, we embarked on a journey to create a school we would be proud to send our own children to, where nurturing, joy, and discovery form the foundation of learning.
Today, Silver Maple Montessori stands as a testament to our dedication, providing an environment where each child’s potential can flourish. Every corner of our school is carefully designed to foster curiosity, respect, and a lifelong love of learning, supported by a staff that shares our vision for excellence in early childhood education.
We foster each child’s social, emotional, physical, artistic, intellectual, and spiritual needs, preparing them for their unique path.
Through cooperation, decision-making, and self-expression, we encourage children to grow as compassionate, independent thinkers.
Our nurturing environment enables children to make choices, practice self-regulation, and embrace lifelong learning.
We proudly hold respected Montessori accreditations, affirming our commitment to high standards in early childhood education.
Silver Maple Montessori is accredited by the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA), a benchmark of authentic Montessori excellence.
Our school is licensed by the Ministry of Education, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards for early childhood programs.
Our Montessori curriculum is designed to unlock each child’s natural desire to explore and learn, encouraging independence and resilience.
Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, the Montessori approach nurtures a child’s natural curiosity, independence, and intrinsic motivation to learn. Children are encouraged to engage in self-directed activities in a structured environment, allowing for hands-on experiences that build confidence and problem-solving skills.
At Silver Maple Montessori, our carefully prepared classrooms provide an environment rich in materials that stimulate each child’s senses. Each child progresses at their own pace, exploring concepts in math, language, science, and cultural studies, among others, which contributes to holistic development.
The Montessori principles emphasize respect, self-regulation, and empathy. In our school community, children learn to appreciate their individuality while also valuing cooperation and harmony with others—a powerful foundation for a positive educational journey.
